Parker & McConkie (previously Parker, McKeown & McConkie) was organized in 1978 when James W. McConkie left the United States Attorney's Office and joined Bradley H. Parker and Richard B. McKeown in the private practice of law. In 1996, Mr. McKeown was appointed by Governor Leavitt as the Chairman of the Utah State Tax Commission and later as the governor's Chief of Staff. The name of the law firm was consequently changed to Parker & McConkie.
